Each quarter, students in grades 4 and 5 have reading ranges set based on their lexile levels. These ranges are set to help encourage reading, while preventing the frustration that can come with trying a book that is too hard. Once the range has been set, students then set a point goal. They choose books from the library within their range, read them, and then take a comprehension quiz on the book. Their goal on each test is an 85% or higher. If they meet their point goal, and have that percent corret they go to an AR Celebration at the end of the quarter. 4th and 5th graders enjoyed a BYOD Party with pretzels and juice.
